Kita telah memiliki uskup baru! Itulah berita menggembirakan dari Vatikan kepada Gereja Keuskupan Ruteng pada Rabu, 13 November 2019. Berita ini telah ditunggu-tunggu kedatangannya. Hal itu memang beralasan. Uskup Ruteng Mgr. Hubertus Leteng mengundurkan diri pada 11 Oktober 2017. Meski Keuskupan Ruteng tak sempat mengalami Sede Vacante (tahta lowong) karena langsung diisi oleh Mgr. Silvester San sebagai Administrator Apostolik, namun kerinduan umat untuk memiliki seorang uskup purna terus membuncah.
Pada Rabu, 13 Novmber 2019, pkl. 18.30, di Gereja Katedral Ruteng umat penuh sesak untuk mendengar berita pengangkatan Uskup Ruteng yang baru oleh Paus Fransiskus melalui Duta Vatikan di Indonesia. Dengan surat pengumuman nomor 1390/2019, Romo Siprianus Hormat Pr, Sekretaris Eksekutif KWI, dipilih oleh Bapa Suci menjadi Uskup Ruteng yang baru. Berita ini memantik tepuk tangan yang membahana dalam gereja ini. Para imam, biarawan-biarawati dan umat yang hadir bergembira ria.
Artikel ini lebih merupakan sebuah luapan kegembiraan akan terpilihnya seorang uskup bagi Keuskupan Ruteng yang selama ini dalam penantian panjang. Sebuah catatan reflektif akan peran penting lagi strategis seorang uskup bagi pelayanan umat yang dipercayakan kepadanya.
Rekonsiliasi
Pengunduran diri Mgr. Hubertus Leteng pada 11 Oktober 2017 bukanlah kenyataan tanpa konflik. Kala itu sangat jelas pada pelbagai level, baik di kalangan klerus maupun umat, tak terhindarkan pro kontra, saling menuduh dan menyerang dalam pewacanaan peristiwa yang terjadi. Pertanyaan yang terus diajukan kala itu, benarkah hal itu terjadi? Pertanyaan tunggal yang sampai akhir tak mendapat jawaban dari Vatikan demi kebaikan bersama (pro bonum commune) seluruh gereja. Bisa jadi menurut Vatikan, fakta keterpecahan yang tak berkesudahan dapat menjadi penghambat latent bagi pembangunan kembali gereja Keuskupan ini dari keruntuhannya.
Tugas mahaberat bagi Mgr. Sipri Hormat, yang bisa dibilang semacam “Urbi et Orbi” Paus, adalah memaklumkan perlunya rekonsiliasi sebagai langkah awal membangun kembali keuskupan Ruteng. Rekonsiliasi adalah sebuah gerak kesadaran akan kelemahan dan kesalahan masing-masing pihak yang berkonflik, seraya membuka ruang untuk saling mengampuni. Ia adalah sebuah jalan untuk kembali saling menerima dan percaya satu sama lain. Buah rekonsiliasi ini adalah terciptanya kembali komunitas yang harmonis dan berdaya sehingga kehidupan kembali ditempatkan dalam rel injili untuk saling berbagi kasih tanpa syarat (Mat 5:46).
Tentu sebuah rekonsiliasi yang sejati akan terlahir dari kerendahan hati untuk saling menerima satu sama lain tanpa prasangka, apalagi dendam. Sebuah pengampunan mutlak tanpa batas (Mat 18:21-22).Tujuan besarnya adalah agar Keuskupan Ruteng kembali menjadi pelayan yang baik bagi semua pihak, khususnya umat. Sebagai keuskupan dengan jumlah umat terbanyak di Indonesia, saatnya keuskupan ini di bawah Gembala baru, bekerja lagi, menumbuhkan kemitraan yang egaliter dengan semua pihak, merajut kembali kerja sama dengan semua elemen sehingga kerajaan Allah menjadi nyata di tengah dunia.
Tanda Harapan
Peran Gereja sangat sentral untuk menghadirkan dan mengajarkan nilai-nilai moral. Tugas utama seorang uskup sebagai pengganti Kristus dan para rasul adalah menjadi imam, nabi dan raja. Melalui tugas keimamam, oleh sakramen-sakramen gereja seorang uskup bertugas menguduskan dunia beserta isinya. Sebagai nabi, dia mewartakan kebenaran, berani dengan tegas dan tanpa kompromi menyatakan benar sebagai benar dan salah sebagai salah. Sebagai raja, dia adalah seorang pemimpin yang memiliki visi ke depan, bijaksana dan penuh perhatian terhadap orang-orang yang menjadi tanggung jawabnya, khususnya yang lemah dan tak berdaya (Mat 25:40).
Dokumen Konsili Vatikan II, khususnya Konstitusi Pastoral Gaudium et Spes artikel 1 menulis: “Kegembiraan dan harapan, duka dan kecemasan orang-orang zaman sekarang, terutama kaum miskin dan siapa saja yang menderita, merupakan kegembiraan dan harapan, duka dan kecemasan pada murid Kristus juga.” Rumusan ini menjadi sebuah imperative moral bagi uskup dan segenap anggota gereja untuk menjadi pembawa kabar baik sekaligus pelaku dari kabar baik itu.
Uskup oleh rahmat tahbisan dapat memimpin umat yang dipercayakan kepadanya kepada sebuah keniscayaan hadirnya komunitas kasih di tengah dunia. Komunitas manusia yang memikul beban berat persoalan ekonomi, kehidupan sosial yang memiliki jurang terjal antara yang kaya dan miskin. Dunia yang ditandai ketidakadilan, korup, lingkungan hidup yang rusak, nilai-nilai moral yang tak berdaya menghadapi tantangan aktual, masalah kesehatan stunting dan penyakit menular seksual. Tak lupa, absennya perhatian terhadap sesama oleh karena terjangan individualisme yang mendera setiap pribadi dan kelompok masyarakat. Inilah medan baru bagi Bapa Uskup, ladang penggembalaan yang dipercayakan Kristus. Selamat datang dan menjadi tanda harapan bagi kami!
